Damsteeg Restaurant is in a remarkable enclave in the very old
centre of Amsterdam called the Jordaan and more specifically: 'the 9
streets'. Behind it's centuries-old typical Amsterdam facade you'll find
a pleasant informal yet elegant place to dine with a wonderful cuisine offering
Dutch, French and International specialties. They specialise in fish dishes, but
they also have a wide variety of meat and vegetarian meals to choose from. There
is a brand new and attractive bar giving an almost Mediteranean feeling. The
restaurant has two main dining areas defined as the 'upstairs' and 'downstairs.'
The eatery is furnished with comfortable armchairs and white linen tables. The
interior is wooden, from the walls and floors to the beam ceiling that contributes
greatly to its 1920's personality. There's also an intimate now fully rebuilt
domed room, to complete this charming restaurant. They will make sure that
you'll have a unique and elegant dining experience in the old quarters of Amsterdam.
When the weather allows - in summer one can dine outside. The terrace almost breathes
a Venetian atmosphere with it's colourful parasols on the narrow side walks, where
you can enjoy culinary surprises, sipping your cool wine and watching the world
pass by. Opening Hours: 18.00 - 22.30 Damsteeg Restaurant
