The pure sheeps wool is processed by hand – going through cycles of washing, then beating, rolling and finally dyed before it becomes felt fabric. The patterns of the Shyrdak rugs are made by many contrasting layers and then they get sewn together to create beautiful repetitive motifs inspired by the landscape of Central Asia.
