Beauty and Nails Marie Claire is a specialist beauty salon situated
in the heart of Amsterdam's canal district in De 9 Straatjes just 5 minutes from
the Dam Square - the salon is a quiet oasis occupying the ground floor of an original
canal house dating from Amsterdam's Golden Age.
Run by Marie
Claire Rosenau (beauty specialist) and Yvonne Posthumus (physiotherapist) - they
provide a wide range of dedicated treatments and offer a personal service.
Specialising in pre and post-operative cosmetic surgery treatments, Marie Claire
offers facials and massages to prepare the skin for surgery and to aid the post
operative recovery, reducing the swelling and bruising associated with certain
cosmetic sugery procedures.
Massage: Yvonne Posthumus is a qualified
physiotherapist - starting with a top to toe 'Body Check', her preventative and
maintenance massages are designed to help those with back problems to prevent
painful future episodes. She also offers foot reflexology and deep or soft tissue
massages which help to reduce cellulite in the skin.
Waxing: Marie
Claire is currently the only salon in Amsterdam to offer sugar waxing for hair
removal, this ancient technique using only natural products is said to be less
painful and less harsh on the skin. Mesotherapy: series of small skin
injections of hyaluronic acid and vitamins, specifically for anti-ageing. Glycopeel:
the most natural peeling method for reducing wrinkles and spots.
Manicures
& Pedicures: French manicures, gel nails, nail repair, paraffin wax manicures,
